The Thankful Heritage Museum is a traveling Black History museum serving the North Carolina region. We have thousands of artifacts spanning over 400 years and various exhibit and educational themes. We are available for one-day, short-term, or long-term presentations at your museum, community center, library, church, school, or special event.
We believe every program should be tailored to the audience. Whether you are in a rural or urban setting, or reaching audiences young or old, we can customize our presentations for your organization.

What we offer
Themed, Educational Exhibits: Historical artifacts from the past 400 years aimed at engaging your audience with African American history. Available for set up at schools, businesses, libraries, community centers, and other museums.
Speaking Engagements and Heritage Celebrations: Founder Effley Howells captivates visitors with stories, context, and history tied to the collection. Available for cultural festivals and holidays, Black History Month programs, community gatherings, and special events.
